Week of June 19th, 2017

Each week I'll write about the world of sports:

*Brooks Kopeka was brilliant in the final round, winning the U. S. Open golf tournament.

*The NBA draft should be exciting as this is a great group of talented youngsters. One of the most interesting players is Josh Jackson of Kansas. If I was the Lakers, I would pick him at #2.

*I felt the probation penalty against Louisville was unfair. It was too severe. The NCAA did not find any information that Rick Pitino was aware of wrongdoing.

*Andre Ward showed surprising power in scoring a TKO over Sergei Kovalev in the light heavyweight title bout.

*The NL West is turning into something special. The Dodgers, Rockies and Diamondbacks are all on fire.

Quote of the Week

“Brooks Koepka handled the pressure in winning back-to-back U. S. Open championships.”
